HP slashes jobs!

Layoffs afoot at HP. 5-10% of its employees will be without steady paychecks soon.

Without money, these hundreds (thousands?) of ex-HPers won't be able to eat their own dog food.

After delivering his first quarterly results, Hurd said he would continue the cuts, and indicated that HP's storage business could see a rapid reduction in headcount, along with the cuts already planned for the very profitable printing and imaging division, where (CEO Mark) Hurd wants even higher profits.
